Creating a story based around data is an interesting topic to base a project around. the project is strangely open ended, but is relient on the data to make sense. the data given to me had four main data sets: sleep schedule, homework, choes, and cooking. It seemed that every time there was a lot of homework, the person would stay up till 3 or 4 am to complete it. that is the main inspiration for my "homework takes away dreams" data topic.
Towards the end of the project, i think i finally began to understand how to design a social media post- how to lay out the information, and how to layout the context behind the information. To create an interesting flow, everytime there is a data set based around homework, i change the font to times new roman. It is suppose to represent the rigidness of homework. Then, everytime there is a data set based around sleep cycle, i change the font to a dream like font to represent the flowy nature of sleep.
For the rebuttal, i decided to write out a short essay on how homework doesn't take away dreams. I did this by arguing how the data set only represents one person, while the argument represents everyone. I also write about how there are times when there is a lot of homework, but the person gets a decent amount of sleep.
This was an interesting project that could have gone in so many different directions when i first received the data set i was going to use. Overall i liked the freedom we had in this project to be able to choose what we wanted to do with the data set we were given. It challenged my creativity and allowed me to create something i was proud of.
