I designed a new typeface inspired by a personal theme: Track and Field. Named after my goal to achieve a sub-fifty-second time in the 400-meter race—a milestone I surpassed by over two seconds before the end of my running career—the typeface embodies the concept of self-improvement.
The design was inspired by my competitive rivalry with another runner who consistently beat me by a fraction of a second. As a result, he was assigned lane four, the preferred lane, while I was placed in lane five. My goal was to surpass him and earn lane four.
Another aspect of this project involved creating a branded deliverable using the typeface. I chose to design motivational posters, reflecting the typeface themes of competition and personal growth.
